And then…another U turn to complete the circle!!

Make way for our next entry to the ‘And then…’ contest. Just reminding, I am not disclosing the author‘s name now so that we can have a fair voting. The write-ups would be posted in the order I receive them… Here are the rules & hints and here is The Scene…

She was transformed into a painfully sweet similar scene…was Fate playing with her??

Three years back, Liz was travelling to India for an ad campaign. Arun, dressed in red shirt and blue denim, sat next to her. He was reading the latest issue of ‘Autocar’ and had head phones plugged in. Their eyes met and it was love at first sight for both of them.

Arun was a business tycoon and Liz, a struggling director from Hong Kong. They hit it off instantly. There couldn’t have been a more fairytale romance…

Her trip to India was like a whirlwind. Even before she could dream, she was getting married to her prince charming. He showered her with all the love and comfort. Life was at its best. While arun was scaling great heights worldwide, she was doing better as a director. Soon, she was the youngest and the most successful director round the block.

However, at the same time, they were getting trapped in their own work cobwebs. They couldn’t find time for each other. The flowers, the candles, the sweet whisperings….all became things of the past.

Their marriage was going through a rough patch. Fights and arguments, shrills and cries became an indispensible part of the little time that they spent together.

It was then that Liz planned a vacation to Sydney. She wanted some time to herself, to rejuvenate and to come back afresh to file for divorce…

Her string of thoughts was broken by the epitome of love songs…”Nothings gonna change my love for you”…she came back to reality. As her eyes welled up with tears, she looked at arun who was looking back at her. He was dressed in red shirt and blue denims and looked as handsome as ever. She glanced at the ‘autocar’ issue in his hands…it was dated august 2007…

Arun had left no stone unturned to recreate the same magic and it had worked!!She felt like an idiot to think of divorce…”so r u ready for our second honeymoon?” Arun asked. Liz knew, despite several holidays in the last three years, this one will always be cherished. “Yes” is all what she could say.

They hugged, they kissed, they laughed and they cried…but this time, they were tears of joy. Life had taken another u turn and the circle was complete.

Moral: life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans! 🙂
